My name is Yacob and I am 14 years old. Although currently living in Senegal, I hail from Washington, D.C, having been born and raised in the United States. My family originates from both Ethiopia and Senegal, and I am proud of my west and east African roots. Currently, I attend the International School of Dakar as a part of the high school program; I am in the 9th grade.
When I am not doing homework, you can find me making/listening to music, playing sports/video games, or reading. Â I have especially taken a liking for soccer, and I support Arsenal of the English Premier League. My dad has been a die hard fan for years, so it was only right to choose them.
Although I have found myself on EduBlogs for school reasons, it has been nonetheless a fun and interesting experience reading blogs and writing on a blog of my own. I look forward to using this medium in the future.

How do you think using the medium of blogging could help you in your future endeavours?
I believe the medium of blogging will improve my ability to express myself, as that is still an area I am working on. My online etiquette has already improved as a result of learning how to write concise but effective comments. Such a quality will definitely be of use if I continue to be a citizen of the internet.
